Must be trained with a minimum of three (03) years post degree, five (05) years post diploma experience, two (02) years of which must be on renal dialysis equipment maintenance gained either in a health care establishment or with a health care equipment manufacturer as a service technician / engineer. General experience is also required of but not confined to patient monitors, defibrillators, ventilators diagnostic equipment, laboratory, dental and X-ray equipment. Ability to fault find to component level on complex equipment, and read drawings is essential.
Knowledge of international safety standards in relation to such equipment is essential, along with knowledge of associated test and diagnostic equipment.
